I am a simple Midwestern boy who has been blessed and helped by so many people to get to this point in my life. I am a college professor and direct a Professional and Technical Writing program. I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. My father was a journeyman electrician and worked very hard. He taught me that work ethic. As I reach this point in my life, I am both optimistic about what we can accomplish and concerned about our lack of civility and decorum, as a country and as a world.
I love to travel and learn about other people and their cultures. I am most comfortable writing, playing in my kitchen and preparing food, either for myself or others. I love making even a simple meal and experience. I have been fortunate enough to be around others who love food and beverage and a good wine or hand-crafted cocktail has its place with most any food.
